2012 Winter 48/5 Contest, Feb 10-12
The East Lansing Film Festival's 48/5 contests draw an exciting array of talented teams, including amateurs, professionals, students, and local film fanatics. Filmmakers come together to write, shoot, edit, and premiere an original five-minute film in a mere 48 hours. At the start of the contest, teams are given the same three elements (a prop, a CHARACTER and a line of dialogue) that they must incorporate into their finished film. To add to the challenge, each team draws a genre from a hat. What judges look for most in the films is the creative incorporation of the given elements as well as a good story.
Team leaders may register online or in person the day of the contest. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Pre-register online at http://www.elff.com. Please pay via Paypal online or mail or drop off a check made payable to ELFF to:
