At the  start of the contest, teams&nbsp;are given the same three elements (a prop, a <span style="color: #000000;">character, </span>and a line of dialogue) <span>that they must incorporate into their finished film</span>.&nbsp; </span><span>To  add to the challenge, each teams draws a genre from a hat. We will be screening the short films on Wednesday, March 3 at 7pm in Room 107, South Kedzie Hall, MSU Campus. The hall is located on the corner of Farm Lane and Auditorium Lane kitty corner to the MSU Auditorium. Parking is available in the lot across the street on Farm Lane or in the parking structure on Auditorium Road, west of the hall.<br /><br />Come out and support local filmmaking! We have contestants ranging from Middle School to professionals. To add to the challenge, participants will be given at the start of the contest specific elements: a genre, a prop, a location and a line of dialog. They must incorporate these elements into their finished film to be eligible for an award.<br /><br />The contest will begin with the distribution of elements, rules and regulations at 6:00 pm on Friday, February 25 at Beggar's Banquet, 218 Abbot Road, East Lansing, MI. Registration will begin at 5:15pm and all teams must be registered no later than 5:50 pm. Unregistered late teams will be disqualified. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.<br /><br />Completed films must be handed in on Sunday, February 27 by 6pm (and not a minute later) at Beggar's Banquet. The finished projects will be shown on Monday, February 28 at 7:00pm in Room 107, South Kedzie Hall, on the corner of Farm Lane and Auditorium, Michigan State University, East Lansing. We will show all the films that have been turned in even if they do not qualify for the prizes.<br /><br />Prizes, made possible by the generous sponsorship of Cheeney Media Concepts 2, will be awarded to the top three films as decided by a panel of qualified judges drawn from the area.
