Walk With Me: The Trials of Damon J. KeithDirected by Jesse Nesser
Michigan has an unsung hero who has made an enormous difference in how Americans live. That person is Damon Jerome Keith, an African-American judge, who — against all odds — handed down some of the most important decisions affecting our civil rights in jobs, housing, education and law enforcement. He went from a Detroit-born janitor to a preeminent judge in the time that the country evolved from segregation to electing an African-American president. Now 94, Keith is currently a senior judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit (Cincinnati). Come see this amazing portrait of a great man who quietly fought injustice for so many.
Scheduled to attend: Director Jesse Nesser, Judge Keith and Producer Mitch Albom
